Let's talk Wips

Hi stitchers, how's your week? I'm going to be busy tomorrow so I thought I would post today.

So I've finished my monthly with the last one. In weeks dye works Noel. I liked it on the card but not when stitched up, I'm not doing it again so I will put up with it.

Not very Christmas to me. 

Now let's talk Wips!

I counted all 12 months as 1 wip so as of right now I have 41 Wips.

A few I don't see me stitching on again but I'm a never say never so they get counted.

This week I've been thinking what is the number of Wips I'm happy with. 

Do I make it 40 Wips, so finish 2 more before I can do a new start and only go to 40. So I have to finish somethings before I can start something. 

Or do I make it 50 and start all the things that I want to start, very easy to do.

I don't know. At the start of the week I was of the mind with 40 Wips as I do like getting things done too. 

But as the week went on I was thinking I would love to start this or that and ya I can do 50 Wips.

I know 50 is it, no more then 50 Wips before I think I have too many. 

What would you do? I'm still up in the air about it all.

The rest of the week I've been stitching Wisteria by Nora Corbett. I will keep stitching her until done. I love her and can't put her down.

This week I also got my first ever stitchy gift. I was so excited about it. I love everything that June from butterfly wings sent me. A big hug and thank you June.

The Mirabilia is mermaid of the pearls, one I don't have so very happy, and the girl in the middle is from one of my favorite designers Shannon Wasilieff. June you could not have picked better. Again a big thanks.

Talking about gifts. Kay I will be sending yours this week sometime. Sorry it's taken me so long.

Sick

Every winter I just have to get someone's cold. Ya I've been sick this week. Not a lot of stitching and I'm starting to miss it. I'm getting better which is good.

So this weeks stitching was on the rest of my monthly ones I just want to get them done.

Weeks dye works calypso.

Weeks dye works trick or treat. Has a brunt fire look to it.

Weeks dye works confetti.

I hope to stitch Decembers this week to finish them.

What is it about the number 3?

Thanks for all you comments, you voted and I guess I will be keeping the posts for the smalls Sal but I think it will just be the photos.

This week I stitched on 3 projects again. I'm thinking it my number right now per week...

Treasures of the deep sal February mermaid and a little on the gold border.

I love how cute the mermaids are. Last post I told you I was thinking about beading as I go but I need January mermaid to do that as I'm stitching in hand and I'm left handed it would make it a pain. Of course the January one is the last out. Sigh. So beads at the end.

Next I wanted something fast to stitch and that was my month.

Stitched in weeks dye works mermaid 

I'm really thinking about just doing the rest of them this week, get it all done.

Next was a new start. I liked stitching with only one color, I was in that type of mood so started ink circles Damask Square.

I'm stitching it on white Aida with waterlilies 281 Hudson Bay. I love how it looks so far and that it's only one silk.

A Mix

Hi stitchers, 

I needed a new start on Monday so got out my fiberlicious treasures of the deep Sal that I went into at the start of the year. It was pricey so thought I better start it soon. 

I got the fiberlicious fabric and the beads too. I ended up not useing the fabric because of some of the dmc colors.

So I'm stitching treasures of the deep Sal on 16 count Aida colour cascade fabrics called sweet child of mine. I think I'm going to get more of it later, love the colour.

Not much stitched on it but I got a start. The blue bit is a little tail of March mermaid.

Next I got out moon sweet moon and did a little on the moon.

And now not that you can really see any progress but it's there.

Next I got out my monthly word stitched in weeks dye works foliage. I'm thinking I might add a snowflake charm just above the u as its cold in July it's our winter.

And last I stitched my Lizzie Kate holiday spirit word

I love how it is turning out. I have 5 words to go.

I was brave and went to the dentist, now I'm not in any pain before going or now but after a very hard time doing a X-ray and being told she could give me a temporary fix but I would be in pain later on and have to come back for the next thing which would be a lot of money and me having to go back. I could not get out of there faster if I tried. So looks like later I'm going to get sedated hopefully when I call the dental hospital who took out my wisdom teeth. I can get it out totally which will be less stressful for me and save me a lot of money and hopefully never see a dentist again for years to come. I was so stressed that it took me 4 days to carm down. I'm still not in any pain and no I did not let the dentist give me the temporary fix. So I will see what happens, it's right at the back so it's not that bad.

Back to stitching 

Today I'm thinking of just picking a project and working on it until finished or I'm bored. I think I'm done with my rotation for a while. I don't know maybe I will just leave it all open and say I will stitch on what I want until I what. I keep going back to the wips in it after all.

Thank you for all your nice comments on my finish in my last post, it was a fun stitch when I got the big scissors done. I would hate to be the little people in the little houses with a big lady with scissors running around, don't think they would leave the house. Ha ha 

I finding out I have a few charts with scissors in them, I don't know why.

Untill next week and who knows what I will stitch, I need to stop making plans really.

We are still waiting on the April check in. As this week I've been stitching for my May one I don't know how I feel about posting photos, but it's my weekly stitching so I guess i will still go ahead and show you all.

Lots Of Stitching, Lots To Show

Hi stitchers, thank you for all your really nice comments. 

As per my rotation it's words week, but I have 3 extra projects to show and 2 more little finishes yay me.

Let's get started

My monthly one, I used weeks dye works harvest. It's very Autumn, just want I wanted.

Sorry for the shadow, I'm lazy and did not take a better one.

Lizzie Kate Holiday spirit word. I know I said all white was going gray but sometimes you need white.

I changed the white under stocking to gray too.

ABC Stitch by Jardin Prive

And now, I stitched from the tree up. 

I was not really feeling this one, I love it but... so I changed.

Little house needleworks the home of a needleworker 2 is finished.

I did not stitch the top and bottom borders or the swirl thing. I got to where I stoped and thought I like this how it is. Even asked another and they said the same.

Sunday night I wanted to stitch but it had to be small. 

So in my stash I had a chart called stitching things 2 by homespun elegance.

So for photo it's in plastic 

I started putting dmc and the strawberry was brown no way, no thanks so I choose my own colors. 

Not like me to change colors on a chart but I had fun and love how it turned out. Yes it's a finish.

The only called for was the scissors dmc 3031, I was thinking of changing it to gold but I like it how it is. So bobbin brown is classic colorworks cocoa bean, the blue, purple is from my purple stitchy box silk n colors grape soda as are the buttons the strawberry, the green is week dye works holly and red is classic colorworks razzleberry the white bits ecru dmc and the needle dmc 535.

It's not as dark as the photo shows.

I'm going to use purple backing fabric the the lace both from the purple stitchy box to finish it. 

Maybe a pillow.

Words Week

Hi stitchers, thanks for all your comments.

Words week is back around with my rotation. It was hard. I think I'm over stitching words but if I stop my goal, they will just sit for years in a drawer not getting stitched. So I pushed myself, it helps that I'm doing them for the smalls sal.

So 3 little words by Lizzie Kate part 2

My monthly one. I used Weeks Dye Works Celebration. It's Easter, I thought the colors were right. I want to get a Easter charm or button.

My next Holiday Spirit by Lizzie Kate. All the white will now be DMC 318. I think it will work.

Still have the stocking one to fix. 

This week I've also been putting dmc floss on bobbins, I have a lot. I think I will be doing it this week too.

I thought I would also show a photo of Jessie, its be awhile since the last one.

I'm getting things in the mail that I brought and I want to stitch them all.

Words and More

Hi stitchers

It's time for my stitchy words week in my loose rotation. I say loose because it changes per month but a few things stay the same.

Lot of stitching to show.

A new start with Lizzie Kate 3 little words. Stitching them all with dmc, on fabric 16 count Aida stone by sew it all.

My month stitched with weeks dye works bethlehem. I love the color combo in this.

Lizzie Kate Holiday Spirit charms get put on at end. I'm also going to play with colors as white is not good with this fabric. Might use grey.

Next I had a travel project this week, let it snow. Mum got her hair done and I had to wait so why not take cross stitch and get a drink in a cafe. My first time stitching this way. I got a few looks but no one asked what I was doing. I have another day that let it snow will travel with me this month see how it goes.

The last one is a new start, a gift for my sister at Easter. Blue Chick.

I'm stitching the back too. Not much blue in the front. Most of the white holes are for beads.

I really like stitching on this one.
