Stitch From Stash October

It's been hard without my dog Zac. All the little things. Like the door bell, it was never used until now. I'm still watching were I walk around the house as he use to be right in the middle of a room and you always had to step over him. I''m still walking and so many people have asked me where my dog is and it's like who are you yet they know Zac's name. I'm sick of people asking me when we are going to get another one. It's tooooo soon people.

Cross stitch has helped in a big way for me.

i've been stitching A Chaffinch In Summer and got it all done and even framed.

Before the backstitch

All Done and with beads

I also got my wip The Good Life out and finished it.  It's been a Wip for about a year. I''m going to put it with a photo of Zac that I love.

Where I stopped stitching it

Before backstitch

All done

So now it's getting framed.

All the above was 14ct fabric so when I started stitching the PR Sal Steps 10 and 6 it was weird,
18ct is so small after 14ct, it took time to get use to again.

Again no beads yet.

It was also my birthday on the 5th October and as it was only 5 days after Zac...... I did not feel like doing anything but I did get same very nice gifts.

# Money
# Chocolate
# Pandora bracelet and the 3 charms

# Secondhand book by Joan Elliott one I don't have so that was cool

# And I got a chart I've been after for many years it's called Once bitten and if I had the money I would buy everything for it and start as soon as I could. Maybe next year.

Soo even thou it was/is a sad time I did very well for my birthday.

Before I forget I did not spend any money for stash.

Being October I would also like to wish everyone

Happy Halloween! And that's it for this post.

Stitch From Stash September

The story of September is I had a plan.... Ya right like they always work out ....not.

My plan was to stitch and only stitch the PR sal all of September....

I got the top all stitched up

Step 4

Step 8

And almost Step 10 as you can see here...

Now beading I always do last as I find the thread hooks onto the beads as I'm stitching.

So back to the story. I found out about the free Joan Elliott fairy (See her blog if you have not got it yet)
and thought I would start stitching my wip Autumn Fairy.

Before

After

Then I got sick for a day or so, think it was something I ate. I could not stitch so started to put the DMC threads onto cards as I do, so much easier to use this way

For Earwen, lots of gray in her

The Rose of Sharon

So now I want to stitch The Rose Of Sharon Stitching on 18ct "Dirty" Aida
There is not much because then I hurt my back, nothing mayor just hurt for a few days. I did lots of walking and put on lots of heat cream. It took 3 days to just do her hair because it hurt to sit and stitch.

So because I could not stitch I started to look at the cross stitch mags I have and charts I've kept over the years. I have so many mag's that has a Joan Elliott fairy/angel in it.

As I was looking at charts one jumped out at me, I kept it for a gift and so now I'm stitching it for Christmas, it will go to a good home. It's from  Cross Stitch Collection Issue 223 June 2013 and called A Chaffinch In Summer.

Here is what it will look like:

And So Far... I'm stitching on white 14ct Aida.

Hope to do more this weekend.
So thats the story of September so far.... I hope the rest is better.
I will say I'm all better and back stitching again.
I almost forgot Amount Spend: $5.00 Thought I had all the DMC for my bird but no. Everything Fabric most threads I had in my stash.
So Happy Stitching!!!
