New Cross stitch

Hi everyone today I have gone though my cross stitch to see what to do next and found my Mystic stitch Black Masquerade. This pic is of what I have done on her so far it's pages 13 and 18. All up there are 25 pages and most are full of confetti which is why she has been put away until now. We will see just how long I work on her this time.
Happy stitching.

Mini Pirate

Hi I don't know if anyone out there is reading my blog and really it's not why I started Cross Stitch Angel, but I think, along the way I got a little intimidated by what I've been seeing on other's. The blogs I love to look at stitch their pictures so fast, what would take me 6 months takes them 2. I lost the stitching bug for a while, I did not know that's been why everything I have stitched was slow going. This weekend I got the stitching bug back, I stoped thinking about the other blogger's that post about cross stitch. Saturday I got up and looked at Mini Pirate and could not stitch her anymore, so put her away for a later time and looked for something else. The funny thing is what I choose to stitch is My lady of the Snow and all weekend I have shut my door and stitched her, and I loved it. I will never be fast as a few blogger's are but now I'm ok with that. I still get to show the world what I stitch and that's why this blog. Even if no one ever says anything.
So the picture of Mini Pirate so far and happy stitching.

Mini Pirate

On the weekend I was looking at every one's blogs and some of you have got up that Heaven and Earth Designs is closing down. I'm here to tell you it's NOT TRUE. I have asked Michele Sayetta and people took what they read wrong. So you all can still get the lovely charts they sell.

Because of this I thought I would start a Heaven and Earth Design this weekend

She is called Mini Pirate and I will be stitching her on 18 count Aida Antique White fabric. She is 12 page's and I'm starting on page 5 as it's the centre of this picture. Happy Stitching.

She is going slow

Here is a update of My Lady Of The Snow
She has been slow going, as you see it looks like I have not done much.I don't know why, as I've stitched a little every day and yet I feel I'm not getting anywhere. I don't know if I will keep going on this picture or take a break and do something else. I will tell you soon or just show it. Happy Stitching.

My Lady has a owl

Here is a update on My lady Of The Snow.

Her arm is not all done yet as it's full of beads and so I will do them after all the stitching. I don't know if you can see in the photo but she also has glitter thread in her, which is why it's taking so long.
This time the thread has a mind of is own.  Happy Stitching.

My Lady Of Snow

Had to take a step back for a few days as everything that could go wrong with cross stitching happened to me all in a day. Now I'm glad I did as I've fixed up what I needed to.

So now I'm stitching My lady of the Snow on blue/gray 18 count. The other fabric I've tryed were not working for me but now I'm happy.

Cascade is on hold but will get back to it soon.

New Start's

Well this week I could not choose what to begin so I started both. I start all my stitching in the middle.

Cascade
Which is very big. 60 Page's and the fabric is going to be hard to deal with as it's huge. I don't have a frame for it so it will be slow stitching on this one. I have not done a lot. She is stitched on 16 count Aida white.

Page 27

My Lady Of The Snow
I have never stitched a Passione Ricamo chart and found out it's got a lot of beads in it, so this should look really good when done. I changed the fabric on this one, did a few stitches and I thought the blue/gray was a bit dull, so I'm now stitching her on a Stitches and Spice fabric called Arabian Nights Opal 14 count Aida. I still don't know about the fabric as one of the threads works in a little to much with the fabric, but we will see how it turns out. I can always go back to stitching her on the blue/grey. Thou I don't want to do that.

What I've done so far

So that's it, I've started and I hope to show you more very soon

DMC Threads

All my free time this week I have been putting DMC threads on those cardboard bobbins things. It would really be great if DMC come this way to begin with, it would save so much of my time that I could be stitching. I have a few big pictures I want to start and by doing the bobbins I find makes my life easier, just wish there was not so many I have to do, I'm talking 200 + people. Am I the only one that does this? Got to ask...  Hope to be stitching soon.

Indian Model Part 4

Had to take a short break from stitching the last few days as I got very busy and could not find the time. I don't want to put a photo up of Indian Model until she is done, which should be soon as I only have a bit of her arm to do now. I hope to get her finished by end of next week or sooner.

The craft and quilt fair in Melbourne is the 26th July, so very soon. I don't go every year and can not go this time because of money. I always have to have lots as I buy a lot of stitching stuff.

So this year I went on Heaven and Earth and went thou all their 7679 charts. I had a goal only buy the one's I realllllly want. I ended up with 9. I thought it would be more with 7679 to choose from but I'm happy I got to add new charts to my stash.

I got:
Mermaid Ariel
Mini Emerald Hawthorn
Little Fairies at Play
Lyra
Magnificent Wings
Masquerade Bluebird
QS My Favorite Rose
Sandy
White Tiger and the Waves

You will see pictures if I ever get to stitching them or look them up at Heaven and Earth.

HAPPY STITCHING

Thinking

Had a little earthquake last night. I was stitching away and listening to the hot 30 on the radio when everything started shaking. I'm just glad I did not get pricked by my needle. No damage to me or mine so that's good.

Last weekend while out shopping with a friend I find these:
Do you see the one on the bottom left, it's one of the charts on HEAD see Link it's one of Anne Stokes and I'm sure I have seen others. You can get the picture on mugs, posters, pillows. Saves stitching it which is what I was thinking of doing later on.

I've been thinking as I stitch Indian Model, I did write that after it was finished I would do a rotation, but I'm not now. I'm just going to stitch what I want to stitch, when I want to, if you want to call that a rotation so be it. I start all my stitching in the middle, I have tried to stitch page 1,2,3 ect.. but for me it does not feel right.

Another blog I really like is http://ourfriendshaedsal.blogspot.com.au/
She has kindly let me put her on my blog list, so thank you.

Ok here are a few I'm thinking of starting after Indian Model

Cascade By Jonathon Earl Bowser
Stitch her on white 18 count aida
She is 60 Page's I must be nut's
but I really like her Cascade

Hammock White Tiger By Kayomi Harai
Stitch it on white 18 count aida
Tiger is 24 page's and so cute
I got the big one before the mini was out.

My lady Of The Snow by Passione Ricamo
Stitch her on blue/gray 18 count aida

Mini Pirate By Selena Fench
Stitch her on Antique white 18 count aida
She is 12 page's Mini Pirate

So as you can see I have lots of stitching to do, I just don't know what one to start first, and I have others too, so happy stitching to all.

Indian Model Part 2

Hi all,
Did not get much stitching done in the last few day's as you see below. I've been busy reading other cross stitch blogs and buying DMC and fabric for a few Heaven and Earth chart's and even a Passione Ricamo. I'm thinking of doing a rotation. When I start I will give you all the name's and details.
Back to the Indian Model, I think I'm done with all the gold threads. Don't know if you can see them in photo. I had to use sticky tape just to thread the needle, made it much easier and faster. As you see I want her done, I have so many cross stitch pic's I want to do it's not funny, I am always thinking of my next one when I get half way with the pic I'm stitching at the time. Is that just me?.

Indian Model

What I am working on now is called Indian Model. I'm stitching her for a friend's birthday present, so I hope she likes it and thinks I'm the best. You can find Indian Model at http://www.lanarte.com/ under cultures.
My mum saw her this weekend and told me she looks like Kim Kardashian, I can see a little bit now that she has said that. I read somewhere that the pic is of a real Indian women.

Welcome

Hi.
For the past few week's I have been finding so many great blog's on cross stitch, seeing all the work everyone puts in, I just had to start my own and show off my work too. So now I'm online and I hope you all will follow me as I follow so many great crafters on blogger, which I hope to put on my blog list soon.
Here is Summer Fairy By Joan Elliott,
The last one I stitched.
