Stitch Everything, End With A Finish

Hi stitchers, thanks for all your nice comments.

This week I didn't know what I wanted to stitch, so I just picked at random and stitched on them for a few days or even just one day.

Halloween Quaker

Before

I just stitched the 4 cats

New start I've been wanting to do Epic Storybook Princesses by cloudsfactory. I'm stitching it in 3 parts and making a few little changes which you will see when I do it.

Here is my start on part 1 just the top border.

Next I got out Halloween magic (Halloween greetings fae) by Passione Ricamo

Here is before

And now, not much. The black is part of the cat.

I was looking around at other stitchers projects and found a stitched picture which got me saying "I have that chart". I got it out and found 14 count iced coffee Aida by sew it all (I think it's that) and got the dmc, sadly I didn't have every color and didn't want to wait so did a few changes.

The chart 1995 Prairie Fairie by The Prairie Schooler

And I finished it late last night. I didn't do all the backstitch as I didn't like it. I think it still looks good with the few color changes I had to make. I love how she holds a real needle too.

That's my week.

Today I plan to start another new one, I have two right now that I really want to stitch.

I've also added a few things to my giveaway that will not be shown.
Don't forget to go into it by 11th September 2018.

Until next time happy stitching!!!

Feeling Halloween

Hi stitchers.

After my finish Nora Corbett it was back to my rotation Halloween Quaker by Lila's studio.
I'm happy with my progress as I got to the other end.

Before

And now

Sunday was Mother's Day, happy Mother's Day to all the mums.
I didn't want to stitch any more on my Quaker but I was still feeling like Halloween and I didn't have a lot of time left in the day so I got out a mill hill kit and today I finished it.

Meet Boris the bat ( with the egg eyes, no really don't you think so?)

It's a magnet one but I'm making it into a hanging, when I cut it out.

I would like to thank everyone that left a comment on my finish and my posts, even the ones I did weeks ago. It is never to late.

A update on my chart the birds and the bees

I have decided on using 2 colors, most will be in waterlilies Mediterranean it's a blue and the birds are going to be in waterlilies Emerald a green. I think it will be bright and tropical looking.

Here's a photo of the fabric and threads. Think it will work?

I will need to send for more as I don't think one will do.

Now that brings me to my rotation, I'm going to be adding to it. I'm thinking of doing 2 projects a week, not just the one. I want to stitch all the things but I like the 4 I have so why not add to it. I'm going to make it a see what happens thing. Whatever happens I will post about it.

So that's it. I'm off to start back up on Rose, until next Monday Happy Stitching!!!

Quaker

Hi stitchers

Thank you for all your comments and votes. It was nice to know I was not the only one to have a hard time choosing which chart, wip to stitch.

The winner is Rose of Sharon with 3 votes and the owl was second with 2 votes.

I got the Rose of Sharon for me but she turned into a gift when I started to stitch her. We had a fallout and as in my mind she was for the person, I just couldn't stitch on her anymore, to finish her. She got put away for a while until 2 weeks ago she popped up in my mind and I got her out thinking its time. In she went with my other 3 choices. I had a feeling you all would pick her.

So today I start again on Rose of Sharon.

This week was my Halloween Quaker. I took a few days no stitching to read a good book and play a game on my iPad.

Yesterday the frog visited me 3 times on the unfinished motif, all 3 lines around I miss counted. I was watching flosstube and not paying attention. So gave up and put it back down after fixing it of course.
So not like me, I'm lucky the frog doesn't visit every often.

Here is before

And now

This weekend past We had Autumn weather with the cold, windy, rainy days yay rain, we so need it but I could do without the wind.
Here is Jess this morning, she didn't want to get out of bed, not that I blame her right now.

Ya my doggie loves the covers.

Happy Stitching!!!

My Stitchy Week

Hi stitchers, how was your stitchy week? Great I hope.

Here's mine

Monday and Tuesday I put lots of DMC onto bobbins and even now I'm still finding more I have to bobbin. Sign just when you think it's over...

Wednesday I felt like a new start (stitch all the things right) so

Home of a needleworker by Little house Needleworks.

I'm using all called for Classic colorworks thread and fabric is 16 count Mello Aida by picture this plus. I love the color of this fabric but don't think much on the Aida, it will do and because of the color I might get more in the future.

Here is what it will look like

And my little start of the house

Thursday and Friday I stitched another new start, this one is from the world of cross stitching magazine  issue 259. It's a Seahorse, I'm not stitching the background, just the seahorse and I love her. So bright.

Stitching with called for DMC and kreinik backstitch when I get there.
Fabric is 16 count Aida wild flower opalescent by sew it all.

Here's what she will look like

And what I've done so far, love her.

Saturday and Sunday was busy with housework and friends but I still got to stitch on my rotation project Halloween Quaker.

Here is before

And now with the big motif done, it's progress.

Have you seen the new Christmas one, it's on the way to me.
Plan is to finish the Halloween Quaker and stitch this Christmas one next year, or as soon as the Halloween one is done.
Now if only she did a Easter one I would be jumping up and down.

That's  it for my week, Thanks for all your comments, I love each and every one.
Happy Stitching!!!

A Quaker And A Fairy Finish

Hi stitchers

The start of the week I didn't get a lot of stitching time so not a lot on my Halloween Quaker.

Before

And now

I was to stitch the Quaker all week but I felt like a finish and something purple because of my stitchy box that I got.

Here is my Fairy finish by Shannon Wasilieff, it was in the world of cross stitching magazine.

This is the magazine picture to show you that I didn't do all the beads around her and the string thing at the butt. I used over a pack of mill hill 02010 beads as is and didn't want to get more. I don't think it really needs it anyway.

I love her, so pretty.
Thanks for all your comments, I now try and answer any questions under the comment. So if you have asked me something this year look in the comments please.
Untill next time
Happy Stitching!!!

Quaker and cross stitch tracker

Hi stitchers

The last few days I have made myself a cross stitch tracker. All the new charts I got in late 2017 and all the new Wips and old. Too many to count, I needed a place that I could just see what I have got.

So tabs are

Dmc, I mostly use dmc thread and I have found I'm starting to buy colors I already have. So far I've just put down all the DMC numbers not what I've got, but I will.

Other threads, this is for kreinik, rainbow gallery, weeks, classic and any other thread I have.

Cross stitch books, I have gone over my books. A few leave as I don't want to stitch anything in them and talk about old. Still I have a few that I'm to keep. This is not for all the magazines I have.

Last is Stitch tracker, which has everything and what I will be using the most of.
Chart, designer, start, end, fabric, threads, beads, wip, notes.

I have gone over all my stash, kitted and charts and filled this tab. The only charts that I have not put in are the heaven and earth designs and magazine charts that are not a wip or kit, or with fabric. I have so many but who knows if I will stitch them. If I do they to will be added.

Going over my stash, there's so many I now what to stitch. I've also worked out what I hope to stitch this year and a group of small ones a set for next year. I need to stop buying cross stitch but I know that's not going to happen.

So to stitching, it's what you want to see right.

Halloween Quaker. I have seen lila's studio making a Christmas one, can not wait until that's out.

Last Post For 2017

Hi stitchers,

Late last night I joined the small Sal 2018

http://stitchinglotus.ca/smalls-sal-2018/ (sorry can't link it)

As I'm going to be stitching Lizzie Kate holiday spirit and 3 little words plus my months. I thought why not, maybe I will get more people finding and likeing my blog. Maybe I will get a few more followers, can only hope right?.

So if you will be stitching any small charts in 2018 why not join up to the Sal.

I forgot to also tell you that I've gone and got 2 stitchy boxes for 2018.

The purple one that's in January, I want to get 3 other colors but they are not out yet.
The summer one, under the sea box which is mid year I think.

As you know I have been watching a lot of flosstube this year and there's been a lot of talk about the Stitchy box so I wanted to see what all the fass is about. 2018 I find out, I will also tell you and show you what I get.

Also you will be seeing mini pirate in January and over the year, as I plan to get her finished in 2018. My hope!

So since Christmas I've had lots of stitchy time, here is what I've been doing.

Halloween Quarter

Before

And now the witch is done

Also my abc stitch, I love, love, love stitching this.

Before

And now

I think I will keep going on this until 1st January, I don't want to put it down yet.

So that's it. Thanks for a great stitchy year in 2017 and I hope you all have a great safe happy new year! I will see you all in 2018. Happy Stitching!!!
