Stitch From Stash September

The story of September is I had a plan.... Ya right like they always work out ....not.

My plan was to stitch and only stitch the PR sal all of September....

I got the top all stitched up

Step 4

Step 8

And almost Step 10 as you can see here...

Now beading I always do last as I find the thread hooks onto the beads as I'm stitching.

So back to the story. I found out about the free Joan Elliott fairy (See her blog if you have not got it yet)
and thought I would start stitching my wip Autumn Fairy.

Before

After

Then I got sick for a day or so, think it was something I ate. I could not stitch so started to put the DMC threads onto cards as I do, so much easier to use this way

For Earwen, lots of gray in her

The Rose of Sharon

So now I want to stitch The Rose Of Sharon Stitching on 18ct "Dirty" Aida
There is not much because then I hurt my back, nothing mayor just hurt for a few days. I did lots of walking and put on lots of heat cream. It took 3 days to just do her hair because it hurt to sit and stitch.

So because I could not stitch I started to look at the cross stitch mags I have and charts I've kept over the years. I have so many mag's that has a Joan Elliott fairy/angel in it.

As I was looking at charts one jumped out at me, I kept it for a gift and so now I'm stitching it for Christmas, it will go to a good home. It's from  Cross Stitch Collection Issue 223 June 2013 and called A Chaffinch In Summer.

Here is what it will look like:

And So Far... I'm stitching on white 14ct Aida.

Hope to do more this weekend.
So thats the story of September so far.... I hope the rest is better.
I will say I'm all better and back stitching again.
I almost forgot Amount Spend: $5.00 Thought I had all the DMC for my bird but no. Everything Fabric most threads I had in my stash.
So Happy Stitching!!!

  4. Wow, you have lovely porjects on the go! Although I've paid fo rthe PR SAL (all of them in fact) I haven't yet stitched any. I didn't want to miss out on the charts so I decided to save them for now and stitch them sometime later.

I also have the Autumn Fairy kitted up with some lovely Crafty Kitten fabric!

Sorry that you've been ill, hope that you are feeling much better now.

Well done with all the stitching that you've done, it doesn't matter that you've not stuck to your plans, as long as you are enjoying it, that's all that matters :)
