New start/finish and one other

Hi stitchers, I hope you are all doing well.

This week my planed stitch was Robyn the majestic dragon. I only stitched on it Monday and Tuesday, so 2 days.

I like stitching this once I get used to the black again.

A few of my stitchy orders came Tuesday. Most of it was beads and kreinik for a few charts I have but I also got a few more kits and charts, I will show as I stitch them.

I did stitch a mill hill kit that I got for my mum.

Its called Love Gardening. My new start and finish.

I have never stitched on perforated paper before and in October I want to stitch a bigger one, so thought I would do this small kit to see how it goes. Other then my needle falling out of the holes until I got used to it, it's ok. My mum loves it.

About my fabric I did email them and they are doing it now and will send Monday. I think they forgot my order, so not good for business and will not go there again.

On to seasons again, I don't know how much I will get done this weekend but we will see.

Fabric

Hi stitchers

Sorry I did not post last week, it got very busy. I did not stitch for 3/4 days.

I did a lot on seasons that weekend. 

Last week I had planed to start one of the pixies but the fabric I got was way to blue. 

I'm after a mid, silver grey and I feel I'm goldilocks. I'm finding it too light, too dark. Too blue, green or brown, it has mix colors. All I want is a nice mid grey that looks grey. On 16 count Aida. 

So hard to find. I think I've found it but now have to wait until October. Fingers crossed.

So last week as it was busy and I could not do my plan stitch I just kept stitching seasons when I could.

I have a question for you all, what is the longest time you have had to wait for fabric?

I ordered fabric from a place I will not name on 3/4th August and I still don't have it. I have not even had a email to say it's on the way which I do not like. 

I was watching flosstube and a lady said that this place just had a sale to wait 8 weeks but I ordered before the sale. I'm not happy.

The longest I've had to wait before this was 3 weeks and they let me know that it's in the mail on the way to me. 

I'm going to wait until October before emailing them but I will not be buying from them again. If they emailed me on what's going on, ok, I would feel better, but they are not and it just puts me off. Sad too as I liked a few fabrics they had.

I tell you between not finding the right fabric for my pixies and a fabric order that's taking too long to get here, I think I will stay with the places I know and trust. Or try too anyway.

Still A Duck to Me

Hi stitchers

This week I have been stitching on the fairy and the dove. 

My stitching slowed right down by the end of this week because every time I would look at the chart  I would see the lines for the backstitch that I'm going to have to do, now I have ages before that, but it put me off stitching it. 

She will been put away for a while, I will still stitch her, just later, she also doesn't work in with my plans for October.

I got to the bottom and I still say it's a duck, I mean doves are white right? 

Time to work on seasons which I'm looking forward to stitching, I don't want to lose my stitchy bug.

Seasons

Hi stitchers

Thanks for your comments on my posts, they are so nice and I love reading them. 

Over the weekend I stitched Storykeep Seasons Spring, my gift stitch.

Here's a recap on what it will look like

Here it is now, 

I stitched all the gray, green at the bottom corner and a little of the cream/white, page 1.

Not bad for a project I couldn't get into stitching until now. 

This week I will be stitching The Fairy and the Dove.

Moon and a few other things

Hi stitchers 

I would like to start off by saying I hope everyone is safe and alright or stays safe with the hurricanes over there that I've been hearing on the news. 

I would also like to say sorry for my up and down stitchy plans, rotations. I've found out what I like and don't like and have a plan in place that will now work for me.

This week I've been stitching moon sweet moon

Not as much as I would have liked but still progress.

I don't think I have told you that when I kitted this up I couldn't get 2 of the treasure braids so most of the moon is kreinik.

I'm ok with it so far but this week treasure braid PB201 yellow was driving me nuts.

I also got back my Queen Mermaid (because of the glass it's hard to take a good photo)

I've also been buying up big lately. It's been a while since I've had a cross stitch shopping spree but now it will be back to stitch what I got. It was fun. Just got to sit and wait for the post. 

In the mail I got my 4 charts, just waiting on the fabric to get here. 

 

Over the weekend I will be stitching my gift stitch Storykeep seasons. 

The plan is to stitch this every weekend as I would love to give it to my friend and unless I start stitching on it that's not going to happen. Progress is still progress even if it's only a few stitchers right.

Gift Stitch Finished

Over the weekend I stitched the gift mum wanted me to do. 

I've changed a few things but she loves it and I think her friend will to.

It's a design by Emma Congdon.

So mum told me its for the lady's birthday, mums going to send it with her card.

A Finish and Plans Change

Hi stitchers

This week I tried I really did to get into Sweet Pea or any of my week 1 kits, charts but I did not want to stitch them.

So out with the rotation it is no more, kind off.

I have 3 I really want to stitch, that I have been stitching in the week rotation I've been on. So I'm going to stitch them and I've now got a gift stitch to do as well. That's 4 weeks, maybe.

When I get my new stuff I would love to start that too, I'm hopeful I will get them September. 

I will still do a weekly update here. That's the new plans.

I love her but can't stitch her right now. 

I got a magazine and it had a free chart book with designs by Emma Congdon.

 I just had to stitch this... I've changed a few colors and added charms, I love it.

Here is my finish

The fabric is darker then the photo and it's a off cut I don't know what it's called.

I think it's a 16 count Aida.

My gift stitch is from this chart book.

My mum asked me if I would stitch the friend one for her very good friend/pen pal. I said sure. She wants it like the picture, same colors and they are bright on white.

I found a off cut white Aida and had to get a few DMC but now I can start it.
